Error Code: D07 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: A motor error has occurred, which could be due to worn motor brushes or a wiring issue.
How to Fix D07 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washing machine from the power supply and turn off the water faucets.
- Remove the screws holding the rear panel of the washer to access the internal components.
- Locate the drive motor situated at the bottom of the wash drum. You may need to slip the drive belt off the large pulley wheel.
- On the sides of the motor, find the two carbon brushes. They are typically held in place by a plastic housing and connected by a wire.
- Disconnect the electrical wire from each brush, then unscrew the brush assembly from the motor body.
- Examine the carbon block on each brush. If either is worn down to about a quarter-inch or less in length, they must be replaced.
- Slide the new brushes into place, secure them with the screws, reconnect the wires, reinstall the belt and back panel, and test the machine.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
