How to Fix RF Error (Step-by-Step)
- Order the correct replacement water filter for your Bosch refrigerator model. The model number is usually on the old filter cartridge.
- Locate the filter housing, which is most often found in the top-right corner of the fresh food compartment.
- Open the filter cover. The filter should present itself for removal. Have a small towel ready for minor drips.
- Firmly turn the old filter a quarter-turn counter-clockwise to unlock it from the housing.
- Pull the old filter straight out and discard it and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the protective cap from the new filter, align it with the housing, and push it in firmly.
