How to Fix F14 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Disconnect the dishwasher from power by turning off the circuit breaker and shut off the water supply valve, usually located under the sink.
  2. Carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. You may need to remove mounting screws from the countertop brackets first.
  3. Lay the dishwasher on its back or side on a towel to access the components underneath.
  4. Locate the water inlet valve, which is where the main water line connects to the dishwasher. It will have an electrical connector and a hose attached.
  5. Disconnect the wire harness from the valve. Place a small pan or towel underneath and then disconnect the water line and any other hoses.
  6. Remove the screws holding the old valve in place and install the new one, ensuring all connections are secure.
  7. Reconnect the wire harness and hoses, then carefully set the dishwasher upright, slide it back into place, and reconnect the power and water before testing.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
