⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E25 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Drain pump is blocked or the pump cover is loose or missing.
How to Fix E25 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Begin by removing and cleaning the main dishwasher filters located at the bottom of the tub, as a blockage here can cause this error.
- After filter removal, use a sponge or small cup to bail out any standing water remaining in the sump area.
- Locate the small, typically round, drain pump cover next to the filter housing. Use a small tool or your fingers to gently pry or twist it open.
- With the cover removed, look inside and check the drain pump impeller (the small spinning blade). Ensure it can move freely.
- Carefully feel inside the pump housing for any hard obstructions like glass shards, bones, or fruit pits. Wear protective gloves for this step.
- Once you have removed any debris, securely snap the pump cover back into its original position until it clicks.
- Reinstall the filters, put the lower rack back, and run a ‘Drain’ or ‘Rinse’ cycle to confirm the water now drains properly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
