⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E08 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Loss of water during a cycle. The water level has dropped unexpectedly.
How to Fix E08 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Press the ‘On/Off’ button to turn the dishwasher off and cancel the current cycle.
- Open the dishwasher door and check the position of the gray drain hose located under your sink.
- The drain hose must be looped up high, with the top of the loop secured as close to the underside of the countertop as possible. This creates a ‘high loop’.
- A proper high loop prevents water from the sink drain from flowing back into the dishwasher and also stops water from siphoning out of the tub during a cycle.
- If the hose is not looped high enough, reposition it and secure it in place with a zip tie or clamp.
- After confirming the high loop, close the dishwasher door, select a new wash cycle, and press ‘Start’ to see if the error is resolved.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
