Problem: Diagnostic code: Door sense circuit failure on control board or power line interference
How to Fix Dryer Error
- Enter diagnostic mode per model procedure (typically hold CHIME + TEMPERATURE buttons 3 seconds).
- Observe if d1 appears consistently or intermittently—intermittent suggests wiring issue; consistent suggests board failure.
- Unplug dryer and remove front lower panel to access door switch WPW10441007 wiring.
- Inspect harness for damage near door hinge—repair any broken wires with high-temperature connectors.
- Test door switch continuity—replace WPW10441007 if faulty.
- Disconnect door switch harness at control board WPW10111608 and inspect pins for corrosion—clean with contact cleaner.
- Reseat connector firmly and exit diagnostic mode.
- If d1 returns immediately, control board door sense circuit has failed—replace WPW
- After replacement, re-enter diagnostic mode and verify d1 code no longer appears in fault history.
- Run full diagnostic cycle to confirm all sensors and actuators function correctly.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
