How to Fix F7E6 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Unplug the washer from the power outlet to ensure safety.
  2. Turn off the hot and cold water supplies and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
  3. Carefully tilt the washer forward and prop it up securely to access the bottom panel.
  4. Locate the drive motor and remove the drive belt from the motor and tub pulleys.
  5. Disconnect the wire harness connected to the motor and remove the bolts holding the motor in place.
  6. Install the new motor (W10836348), secure it with the bolts, and reconnect the wire harness.
  7. Reinstall the drive belt, then carefully lower the washer back to its upright position and reconnect power and water.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
