- Locate the shift actuator and the motor run capacitor. The actuator is a small motor with a lever, and the capacitor is a cylindrical component near the main drive motor.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses from both the old shift actuator and the capacitor. Remove the screws holding them in place.
- Install the new shift actuator (Part: WPW10006355) and motor run capacitor (Part: W10804665), securing them with their mounting screws.
- Reconnect the wire harnesses, carefully return the washer to its upright position, and restore power and water.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
