Error Code: PF Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Power Failure. Similar to the ‘PO’ code, this indicates an interruption in the power supply.
How to Fix PF Error (Step-by-Step)
- Press the ‘Alarm Reset’ or a similar confirmation button on the control panel to acknowledge the alert and clear the code.
- Verify that the refrigerator’s power cord is firmly pushed into the wall outlet.
- Check other appliances or lights in the room to see if your entire home has lost power.
- Locate your home’s circuit breaker panel and check if the breaker dedicated to the refrigerator has tripped. If it is in the middle or off position, flip it fully off and then back on.
- Once power is restored, listen for the compressor to start running. It may take a few minutes.
- Allow the refrigerator several hours to return to its set temperature. Monitor the display to ensure the code does not reappear.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
