How to Fix E8 Error (Step-by-Step)

- Open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket to gain access to the ice maker assembly.
- Locate the screws that mount the ice maker to the freezer wall (there are typically two or three).
- Support the ice maker with one hand while removing the screws with the other.
- Gently pull the ice maker forward and locate the main wire harness connecting it to the refrigerator.
