Problem: Refrigerator Ice Maker Sensor Communication Error.
How to Fix E41 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the power to the refrigerator at the circuit breaker or by unplugging it.
- Open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket to gain access to the ice maker.
- Locate the screws or locking tabs that hold the ice maker assembly in place. They are usually at the top or side of the assembly.
- Remove the screws or release the tabs. The ice maker may also have a support bracket at the bottom.
- Gently pull the ice maker forward and locate the main wire harness connection.
- Disconnect the wire harness by pressing the release tab and pulling it apart.
- Connect the new ice maker assembly to the wire harness, mount it in place with the screws or tabs, and reinstall the ice bucket.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
