Error Code: E23 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Refrigerator Water Filter Error.
How to Fix E23 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Locate the water filter. It is typically in the upper right-hand corner of the fresh food compartment or in the base grille at the bottom.
- If the filter has a push-button release, press it to eject the old filter. If it’s a twist-in model, turn it counter-clockwise about a quarter turn to release it.
- Pull the old filter straight out. A small amount of water may drip out.
- Remove the protective cap from the new filter and align it with the filter housing.
- Push the new filter in firmly until it clicks into place, or twist it clockwise until it locks.
- Run about two gallons of water through the dispenser to flush the new filter and clear any air from the lines.
- Press and hold the ‘Filter Reset’ button on the control panel for three seconds to reset the indicator light.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
