How to Fix E13 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet for safety and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Open the freezer door and locate the ice dispenser assembly.
- Carefully remove the front cover of the dispenser, which may be held by clips or screws.
- Identify the dispenser solenoid and the ice door module. Disconnect the wire harnesses attached to them.
- Remove the screws or mounting clips holding the old solenoid and module in place and take them out.
- Install the new ice dispenser solenoid and door kit, and the new ice dispenser module, securing them with the original screws or clips.
- Reconnect the wire harnesses, replace the dispenser front cover, and plug the refrigerator back in to test the dispenser.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
