How to Fix F9E4 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dryer from the power source by unplugging it from the wall outlet to ensure safety.
- Move the dryer away from the wall to access the rear panel. Remove the screws securing the top panel of the dryer and then slide the panel off.
- Locate the electronic control board, which is typically housed in the console at the front of the dryer. Take a clear photo of the wire connections to the board for reference.
- Carefully disconnect all wire harnesses attached to the old control board. Most connectors have locking tabs that need to be pressed to release the connection.
