How to Fix F29 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before beginning the repair.
- Open the dryer door to access the area around the opening.
- Remove the screws holding the top panel of the dryer on, located at the rear of the machine, and slide the top panel off.
- Locate the door switch, which is typically found near the top of the door opening.
- Disconnect the wire harness that plugs into the door switch.
- Depress the small locking tabs on the side of the switch and push it out from the front panel.
- Snap the new door switch into place from the front, reconnect the wire harness from behind, and reassemble the top panel.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
