1. Start by performing a hard reset. Disconnect the dryer from power by unplugging it or turning off the breaker for at least 5 minutes to discharge the control board.
2. Plug the dryer back in and attempt to start a cycle. If the F01 code returns, the control board has failed and must be replaced. Unplug the dryer again.
3. Locate the main control board, which is typically inside the top control console. Remove the rear screws of the console to access it.
4. Take a detailed photograph of the wire connections on the old board to use as a reference.
5. Systematically unplug each wire harness from the old board. Most have a locking tab you must press to release.
