⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: F01 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Primary control failure.
How to Fix F01 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Start by performing a hard reset. Disconnect the dryer from power by unplugging it or turning off the breaker for at least 5 minutes to discharge the control board.
- Plug the dryer back in and attempt to start a cycle. If the F01 code returns, the control board has failed and must be replaced. Unplug the dryer again.
- Locate the main control board, which is typically inside the top control console. Remove the rear screws of the console to access it.
- Take a detailed photograph of the wire connections on the old board to use as a reference.
- Systematically unplug each wire harness from the old board. Most have a locking tab you must press to release.
- Remove the old board by releasing its mounting clips or screws. Install the new board in its place.
- Carefully and correctly reconnect all wire harnesses to the new board based on your reference photo.
- Secure the control console, restore power, and run a test cycle to ensure the dryer is functioning properly.
