How to Fix ERR Error (Step-by-Step)
- First, open the dryer door and close it firmly to ensure the latch is fully engaged. Check for any clothing or items obstructing the door.
- If the error continues, unplug the dryer from the power outlet.
- Open the dryer door and locate the door switch assembly inside the door frame.
- Use a putty knife to release the two clips holding the top panel down, located in the gap between the top and front panels. Hinge the top panel up and back.
- From the inside, locate the door switch. Unscrew it from the front panel and disconnect its wire harness.
- Connect the new door switch (Parts: 279570, WPW10610880), screw it back into the front panel.
- Lower the top panel and snap it back into place. Plug the dryer in and test by starting a cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
