Error Code: FAE5 / F10E5 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Indicates a leak has been detected, and the cycle has been canceled.
How to Fix FAE5 / F10E5 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker to ensure safety.
- Shut off the water supply valve, which is typically located under the kitchen sink.
- Place towels on the floor and carefully slide the dishwasher out from under the counter.
- Remove the lower front access panel(s) to get a view of the base pan.
- Use a sponge or towels to completely soak up all the water that has collected in the pan. The error is triggered by a sensor that detects this water.
- Carefully inspect hoses, the water inlet valve (part W11175935), and the pump assembly (part W11545743) for the source of the leak and replace the faulty part.
- Once the leak is repaired and the pan is dry, reconnect power and water and run a test cycle to check for leaks before sliding the unit back into place.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
