How to Fix F7E5 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker and shut off the hot water supply valve under the sink.
- To access the bottom of the unit, carefully slide the dishwasher out from under the countertop.
- Gently lay the dishwasher on its back on a towel or blanket to protect the floor and the unit.
- Locate the diverter motor, also known as a shifter or actuator, which is mounted on the side of the sump assembly at the bottom.
- Disconnect the wire harness attached to the motor, then remove the screws holding it in place.
- Install the new diverter motor (part W10533086, W10476222, or W10155344), secure it with the mounting screws, and plug the wire harness back in.
- Carefully set the dishwasher upright, slide it back into place, reconnect the water and power, and run a test cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
