How to Fix F6E1 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Turn off the dishwasher’s power at the circuit breaker and close the hot water supply valve, typically found under the kitchen sink.
  2. Place a towel on the floor and disconnect the main water supply hose from the dishwasher.
  3. Remove the lower front access panel (kick plate) by taking out its screws.
  4. The water inlet valve (Part WPW10195039) is the part the supply hose was connected to. Unplug the two wires attached to it.
  5. Remove the screw holding the valve’s mounting bracket and take the old valve off.
  6. Install the new valve, ensuring the connection to the dishwasher tub is sealed properly. Reconnect the wires and the main water supply hose.
  7. Turn the water on and check for leaks before reinstalling the kick plate and turning on the power.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
