- Cut all power to the appliance by flipping the corresponding circuit breaker to the ‘OFF’ position.
- Open the dishwasher door and, using a screwdriver, remove the screws around the edge of the inner door liner.
- Carefully separate the inner and outer door panels to get access to the components inside.
- Identify the door latch assembly (Parts WPW10130695, W10862259) at the very top of the door.
- Disconnect the electrical plug going to the latch. Then, remove the screws that mount the latch to the door frame.
- Install the new latch assembly, secure it with the mounting screws, and plug the wire harness back in.
- Reattach the inner door panel, restore power, and confirm the door now closes and locks securely.
