How to Fix F1E1 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. The control board is usually located behind the front access panel (kickplate) at the bottom of the dishwasher.
  2. Take a clear photo of the wire connections on the existing board to use as a reference. This is a critical step.
  3. Carefully disconnect all the wire harnesses from the old control board. They have small clips that need to be pressed to release.
  4. Remove the screws holding the old board in its housing and take it out.
  5. Mount the new control board (W11613566 or W10814355), secure it with the screws, and meticulously reconnect all wire harnesses based on your photo.
  6. Reattach the access panel, restore power at the breaker, and the dishwasher should now function without the error.
  7. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
