⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: Refrigerator Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Inverter DC bus undervoltage fault
How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator and measure household voltage at outlet – must be minimum 105V AC.
- If voltage sags below 105V during compressor startup, suspect undersized household wiring or shared circuit.
- Verify dedicated 15-20 amp circuit is used for refrigerator (no other appliances on same circuit).
- Check power cord and outlet connections for looseness causing voltage drop.
- Remove rear access panel to access inverter board.
- Inspect DC bus capacitors for failure (bulging, leaking) causing inability to maintain bus voltage.
- Check rectifier diodes on inverter input stage for failure using diode test function on multimeter.
- If household voltage is stable (>110V) but error persists, replace inverter assembly W
- After replacement, monitor DC bus voltage during compressor startup (should maintain >280V DC).
- If error returns, suspect failing main control board sending incorrect start commands.
