Error Code: F21 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: The washer is taking too long to drain. The drain pump is likely clogged with debris or the motor has failed. Check the filter and drain hose first.
How to Fix F21 Error
-
- UNPLUG washer from electrical power. Place towels under front access panel.
- Open drain pump filter cover at lower front right. Drain residual water into container.
- Remove filter and clear all debris (coins, socks, lint). Inspect pump impeller through opening.
- Rotate impeller manually with finger—it must spin freely 360° with no grinding or resistance.
- If impeller is damaged or pump housing is cracked: disconnect pump wiring harness, loosen hose clamps with pliers, remove 2 mounting screws, extract old pump.
- Install new drain pump using OEM part W
- Align mounting tabs, secure screws, reconnect hoses with clamps tightened firmly, reconnect wiring harness.
- Reinstall filter and close cover until click is heard.
- Restore power. Run spin/drain cycle to verify complete water removal within 90 seconds with no unusual noises.
