⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E76 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: NTC temperature for the cold water valve over the limits; hot and cold water hoses likely switched.
How to Fix E76 Error (Step-by-Step)
- First, turn off the hot and cold water faucets connected to the back of your washer.
- Unscrew the two water inlet hoses from the washer’s connection ports. Have a small towel ready for any minor drips.
- Look closely at the inlet ports on the washer. They will be labeled or color-coded, typically ‘H’ or red for hot, and ‘C’ or blue for cold.
- Identify which of your supply hoses is carrying hot water and which is carrying cold water from the wall.
- Reconnect the hoses to the correct ports: the cold water hose to the ‘C’ (cold) inlet and the hot water hose to the ‘H’ (hot) inlet.
- Tighten the connections by hand first, then give them a gentle quarter-turn with pliers to ensure they are snug and leak-free.
- Turn the water faucets back on fully and run a short wash cycle to confirm the error is gone.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
