How to Fix E76 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. First, turn off the hot and cold water faucets connected to the back of your washer.
  2. Unscrew the two water inlet hoses from the washer’s connection ports. Have a small towel ready for any minor drips.
  3. Look closely at the inlet ports on the washer. They will be labeled or color-coded, typically ‘H’ or red for hot, and ‘C’ or blue for cold.
  4. Identify which of your supply hoses is carrying hot water and which is carrying cold water from the wall.
  5. Reconnect the hoses to the correct ports: the cold water hose to the ‘C’ (cold) inlet and the hot water hose to the ‘H’ (hot) inlet.
  6. Tighten the connections by hand first, then give them a gentle quarter-turn with pliers to ensure they are snug and leak-free.
  7. Turn the water faucets back on fully and run a short wash cycle to confirm the error is gone.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
