How to Fix CA Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer from the wall outlet to ensure complete electrical safety.
- Slide the washer away from the wall and remove the top panel by taking out the screws along the back edge.
- Locate the main electronic control board, which is usually in a plastic housing near the front of the machine.
- Before disconnecting anything, take a clear photo of the wire connections for reference during reassembly.
- Systematically disconnect all wire harnesses from the old control board. Most have small locking tabs that need to be pressed.
- Remove the mounting screws holding the board in place and carefully lift it out. Install the new control board (Part #A03028305, 5304515626, or 5304529897).
- Using your photo as a guide, reconnect all wire harnesses, secure the board with its screws, and reattach the top panel.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
