- Carefully detach the panel to expose the evaporator coils. The defrost sensor is a small component clipped directly onto these coils.
- Disconnect the sensor’s wire harness connector and unclip the old sensor from the coil.
- Clip the new sensor (part 00617203) in the exact same position as the old one and reconnect the wire harness.
- Reinstall the evaporator cover, followed by all shelves and food, then plug the refrigerator back in.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
