2. Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower dish rack. Unscrew and remove the filter assembly from the bottom of the tub by twisting it counter-clockwise.
3. Locate the small, round drain pump cover in the sump area. Check if it is loose or has come off. If loose, press down firmly and twist it clockwise to lock it into place.
4. Directly next to the pump cover, inspect the non-return valve (a small flap). Ensure it is clean, free of debris, and can move freely. Clean out any obstructions you find.
5. If the previous steps do not resolve the issue, the heat pump assembly may need replacement. This is a complex repair. Carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Tip the unit onto its back to access the components underneath.
