How to Fix ER T1 – ER T6 Error (Step-by-Step)
- First, unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet to disconnect all power.
- Empty the contents of the affected compartment (refrigerator or freezer) and remove any shelves needed to access the interior back or side panel.
- The temperature sensor is usually located behind a small plastic cover. Unscrew or unclip this cover to expose the sensor.
- The sensor is a small plastic probe with a wire attached. Carefully disconnect the wire harness that connects the old sensor to the refrigerator.
- Connect the new temperature sensor (Part No. 240597203) to the wire harness.
- Snap the new sensor into its designated clip or housing and re-attach the protective cover.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
