How to Fix ER T1 – ER T6 Error (Step-by-Step)

First, unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet to disconnect all power.
Empty the contents of the affected compartment (refrigerator or freezer) and remove any shelves needed to access the interior back or side panel.
The temperature sensor is usually located behind a small plastic cover. Unscrew or unclip this cover to expose the sensor.
The sensor is a small plastic probe with a wire attached. Carefully disconnect the wire harness that connects the old sensor to the refrigerator.
Connect the new temperature sensor (Part No. 240597203) to the wire harness.
Snap the new sensor into its designated clip or housing and re-attach the protective cover.
Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
