How to Fix DR Error (Step-by-Step)

- Open the dryer door and locate the door switch, which is usually a small plastic component with a button or lever near the door opening.
- Check if anything is physically blocking the door from closing completely and engaging the switch.
- Remove the screws holding the door switch in place. You may need to pry it out gently.
- Disconnect the wire harness attached to the back of the switch.
- Connect the new door switch to the wire harness and secure it in the original position with its screws.
- Plug the dryer back in and test the door to ensure the dryer starts.
