Begin by unplugging the washing machine from the power outlet for safety.
Open the front door of the washer to access the door lock area.
Use a spring clamp tool or pliers to expand and remove the outer wire clamp holding the door boot seal in place.
Carefully fold the door boot seal back and away from the front panel to expose the door lock mechanism.
Remove the screws that fasten the door lock assembly to the washer’s frame.
Detach the wire harness connected to the assembly, taking care not to damage the connector.
Position the new door lock assembly, reconnect the wire harness, and secure it with the mounting screws. Finally, reinstall the door boot seal and its clamp.
Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
