How to Fix ED Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Unplug the dryer’s power cord from the electrical outlet for safety.
  2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by taking out the screws from the back and sliding the panel off.
  3. Locate the main control board. It is typically a green circuit board in a plastic housing mounted to the side of the dryer’s frame.
  4. To avoid incorrect wiring, take a clear picture of the board and all its connections before you proceed.
  5. Disconnect all the wire harnesses attached to the board. Then, remove the mounting screws and lift the faulty control board out of the dryer.
  6. Set the new main control board in place and fasten it with the screws. Reconnect all the wire harnesses, referring to your picture to ensure they are in the correct locations.
  7. Reattach the top panel, plug the dryer in, and run a test cycle to confirm that the new board has fixed the issue.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
