Problem: Console control problem.
How to Fix EBE Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dryer from its power source by unplugging the power cord.
- Remove the top panel to get access to the control area. This usually involves removing a few screws from the back of the dryer.
- Locate the console control, also known as the user interface board. This is the board that your buttons and display are attached to.
- Take a picture of the ribbon cables and wire harnesses connected to the console control board.
- Carefully disconnect the wiring from the old board. Remove any screws or release clips holding it in place and remove it from the console.
- Install the new console control board, securing it properly. Reconnect the ribbon cables and wire harnesses as they were in your photo.
- Reassemble the dryer by reattaching the top panel. Plug the dryer in and check if the controls and display are now functioning correctly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
