⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: EF2 Difficulty: Easy
Problem: There is too much foam in the drum.
How to Fix EF2 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Press the pause or cancel button to stop the current cycle.
- Wait for the washer to drain and the door to unlock. If it doesn’t, you may need to run a drain/spin cycle.
- Remove the clothes from the drum and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Run a full wash cycle without any laundry or detergent on the hottest water setting to flush out any residual suds.
- For future washes, ensure you are using a high-efficiency (HE) detergent, as regular detergents produce too many suds for these machines.
- Measure your detergent carefully according to the manufacturer’s instructions for your load size and water hardness.
- If you have soft water, you will need to use significantly less detergent.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
