⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: E23 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Issue with the drain pump (blocked, clogged, or faulty).
How to Fix E23 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the dishwasher from the electrical supply at the circuit breaker.
- Shut off the water supply and disconnect the water inlet and drain hoses.
- Pull the dishwasher out from its installation and lay it on its back to access the components underneath.
- Locate the drain pump. It is a smaller pump, separate from the main circulation pump.
- Unplug the wire connector to the pump and release the clamps on the hoses to detach them. Be prepared to catch any remaining water.
- Remove the old drain pump, which is often held in place by a few screws or a twisting lock mechanism.
- Install the new drain pump, reconnect the hoses and wiring, and if the problem persists after reassembly and testing, the main control module may also need to be replaced.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
