Error Code: LOC Difficulty: Easy
Problem: The control lock (child lock) is active, preventing accidental use.
How to Fix LOC Error (Step-by-Step)
- Look at the microwave’s control panel display to confirm that ‘LOC’ or a lock symbol is visible.
- Identify the button on the control panel used for the lock function. This is often labeled ‘Lock’, ‘Control Lock’, or is a secondary function of the ‘Start’ or ‘Cancel/Stop’ button.
- Press and hold the designated button for 3 to 5 seconds.
- Listen for a beep or watch the display. The ‘LOC’ indicator or lock symbol should disappear.
- The control panel is now unlocked. You can now use the microwave normally.
- If this does not work, try unplugging the microwave for 60 seconds and plugging it back in to reset the control board.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
