How to Fix E5B Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer from the wall outlet to prevent electrical shock.
- Remove the screws from the rear access panel and set the panel aside.
- The motor control board is located near the bottom of the washer, close to the drive motor. Take a picture of the wiring.
- Carefully unplug each wire connector from the board, pressing the release tabs.
- Unscrew the old motor control board and remove it from the machine.
- Mount the new board in the same location and secure it with the screws.
- Reconnect all wires correctly, replace the rear panel, and restore power to the washer.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
