How to Fix Samsung Washer Error PE

Problem: Clutch position error

How to Fix PE Error

  1. Unplug the washer, shut off the water supply, and tape the lid.
  2. Tilt the washer onto its back to access the underside.
  3. Locate the clutch motor assembly. Disconnect its wire harness.
  4. Pull out the retaining pin that connects the actuator arm to the clutch mechanism.
  5. Use a 10mm socket or wrench to remove the two bolts holding the clutch motor in place.
  6. Remove the old motor. If the new part doesn’t include the plastic actuator arm, transfer it from the old one.
  7. Align the new clutch motor and fasten it with the two bolts.
  8. Re-link the actuator arm to the clutch and insert the retaining pin.
  9. Plug in the wire harness, return the washer to its upright position, and run a test cycle.
