How to Fix Samsung Washer Error PC1

Problem: Clutch hall sensor error

How to Fix PC1 Error

  1. Unplug the washer, turn off the water, and tape the lid closed.
  2. Carefully lay the washer on its back to access the components underneath.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the clutch motor.
  4. Remove the pin that holds the plastic actuator arm to the clutch assembly.
  5. Remove the two 10mm bolts that secure the clutch motor assembly to the washer’s base.
  6. Remove the old clutch motor. You may need to transfer the plastic retainer arm to the new motor.
  7. Position the new clutch motor and secure it with the two 10mm bolts.
  8. Reinstall the actuator arm and secure it with the pin.
  9. Reconnect the electrical connector, carefully set the washer upright, and test its function.
