⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: OC Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Over-level water / Too much water in dishwasher
How to Fix OC Error
- DISCONNECT POWER AND WATER. Shut off the circuit breaker and the water supply valve.
- CHECK THE DRAIN PATH. Before replacing parts, ensure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Check the garbage disposal connection or sink drain for blockages.
- REPLACE THE DRAIN PUMP. If the drain path is clear, the drain pump may be faulty. Pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. The drain pump (DD81-02707A) is at the bottom. Disconnect its wires and hoses, remove the mounting screws, and install the new pump.
- REPLACE THE WATER INLET VALVE. If the dishwasher overfills even when off, the water inlet valve (DD62-00084A) is stuck open. It’s located where the main water line connects to the dishwasher. Disconnect the line and the outlet hose, unplug the wire harness, and replace the valve.
- REASSEMBLE AND TEST. Reconnect all lines, restore power, and run a drain/cancel cycle, then a fill cycle to test both repairs.
