Problem: Water leak detected (non-digital display models)
How to Fix Heavy flashing Error
- DISCONNECT POWER AND WATER. Shut off the circuit breaker and water supply immediately to prevent further damage.
- PULL OUT THE DISHWASHER. Disconnect all lines and slide the unit out from its installation space.
- LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. Carefully tilt the dishwasher forward to access the base pan. The leak sensor is a small switch with a styrofoam float located in this pan. Mop up any water in the base pan.
- INSPECT FOR LEAKS. With the pan dry, look for the source of the water. Common culprits are loose hose clamps, a cracked drain pump, a bad door seal, or a faulty water inlet valve.
- REPLACE THE LEAK SENSOR. If no active leak is found, the sensor itself (a common part is DD94-01062A) may be faulty. It is typically held in place by a single screw or clip. Disconnect the wire and replace the sensor.
- REPAIR THE LEAK AND TEST. Once the source of the leak is repaired or the sensor is replaced, reassemble the dishwasher, reconnect power and water, and run a test cycle while monitoring for new leaks.
