How to Fix NC1 Error

First, perform a thorough cleaning of the lint filter and the slot it goes into.
If the error persists, the lint filter sensor is likely coated in residue from fabric softener sheets. Unplug the dryer.
The sensor is typically two metal strips located in the lint filter housing. Gently scrub these strips with a soft brush and rubbing alcohol.
If cleaning does not resolve the issue, the sensor itself may have failed. It may require replacing the entire lint filter housing assembly.
