⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.

Error Code: 5C Difficulty: Moderate

Problem: Drain tank overflow / Drainage problem

How to Fix 5C Error

  1. This error applies to heat pump or condensing dryers. First, check and empty the water collection tank if your model has one.
  2. Unplug the dryer. Check the drain hose for any kinks, twists, or clogs that would prevent water from draining.
  3. If the hose is clear, the drain pump may be clogged or faulty. Access the drain pump, usually located at the bottom of the unit.
  4. Disconnect the hoses from the pump (be prepared for some residual water) and check the pump inlet for debris.
  5. If the pump is clear but not working, it needs to be replaced.
