How to Fix 5-1 Error

Turn off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher.
Open the dishwasher door and locate the door latch assembly at the top of the tub frame.
Remove the screws holding the inner door panel to access the latch mechanism.
Disconnect the wire harness connected to the door latch assembly.
Remove the screws mounting the old latch assembly, install the new one, and reconnect the wiring.
Reassemble the door panel and restore power to test.
