  1. This error is for heat pump models. Unplug the dryer.
  2. Locate the drain pump assembly, usually at the bottom of the unit. Have towels ready for residual water.
  3. Clamp or pinch the hoses connected to the pump to minimize water spillage.
  4. Disconnect the hoses and the wire harness from the pump.
  5. Remove the screws mounting the pump to the dryer base, install the new pump, and reconnect all components.
