How to Fix F29 Error

  1. Unplug the dryer. A shorted sensor is often caused by residue buildup.
  2. Find the two parallel metal bars of the moisture sensor inside the drum, typically part of the lint screen housing.
  3. Vigorously clean the metal bars with a cloth or pad and rubbing alcohol.
  4. If the code persists after cleaning, the moisture sensor harness assembly is likely faulty and needs to be replaced. This may require removing the front panel for access.
