Problem: Moisture Sensor Open
How to Fix F28 Error
- Unplug the dryer.
- First, locate the two metal moisture sensor strips inside the drum, usually below the door opening on the lint filter housing.
- Clean the surface of these strips thoroughly with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol to remove any fabric softener residue.
- If cleaning does not work, inspect the wires running from the sensor bars to the main harness. If the wires are intact, the sensor/harness assembly needs to be replaced.
