Problem: Flash code 8: Turbidity sensor fault; dirty window or internal sensor failure (non-display models)
How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and open door.
- Locate turbidity sensor window on right side wall of tub (near bottom, behind lower rack).
- Dip soft cloth in isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe sensor window in circular motion to remove film.
- Use cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean edges and crevices of sensor housing.
- Rinse area with damp cloth to remove alcohol residue.
- Inspect sensor window for cracks or cloudiness. Replace if physically damaged.
- If cleaning does not resolve error: remove lower access panel. Disconnect sensor wiring harness.
- Remove mounting screw securing sensor housing. Extract sensor assembly.
- Install new turbidity sensor using OEM part DD31-00007A. Ensure O-ring seals properly.
- Secure mounting screw to 3 in-lbs torque. Reconnect harness. Restore power. Run cycle to verify error clearance.
