Problem: Flash code 2: Drain system failure; pump obstruction or motor fault (non-display models)
How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and remove lower access panel.
- Place towels under pump area. Open pump access cover to drain residual water.
- Remove coarse filter to access pump impeller. Rotate impeller manually—it must spin freely 360°.
- Clear any debris (food particles, utensils) blocking impeller or housing.
- If impeller is cracked, broken, or pump housing is damaged: disconnect pump wiring harness.
- Loosen hose clamps on inlet/outlet hoses. Remove mounting screws securing pump.
- Extract old drain pump assembly. Clean mounting surface thoroughly.
- Install new drain pump using OEM part DD31-00010A. Align mounting tabs, secure screws.
- Reconnect hoses with clamps tightened firmly. Reconnect wiring harness.
- Reinstall filter and access cover. Restore power. Run Drain cycle to verify complete water removal within 90 seconds.
