Problem: Steam generator fault; scale buildup, element failure, or water supply issue (steam models only)
How to Fix Dishwasher Error
- Unplug dishwasher and turn off water supply valve.
- Remove lower access panel to access steam generator assembly.
- Disconnect water inlet hose and drain residual water into container.
- Descale generator using manufacturer-approved solution: pour into reservoir, run maintenance cycle per manual.
- Disconnect steam generator wiring harness. Test heating element resistance (should be 30-60Ω).
- If element is open or generator is heavily scaled: remove mounting hardware and water line connections.
- Extract old steam generator assembly. Clean mounting area thoroughly.
- Install new steam generator using OEM part DD97-00002A. Ensure all seals are properly seated.
- Reconnect water lines with new hose clamps. Reconnect electrical harness securely.
- Restore water and power. Run Steam cycle while verifying steam production and absence of leaks at all connections.
